When I was five I saw old 1930's horror movies on late-night TV, from "The Werewolf of London" to "Dracula" and the original "Godzilla"(American version). I was hooked.
Then it was onto dinosaurs, Science Fiction - it was heresy then to call it 'SciFi', only fakers called it that - games, AD&D and video and film-making. And music.
John Carpenter made me want to compose music for films, and Tchaikovsky and John Lennon got me writing songs. Ray Harryhausen got me started on stop-motion animation (not a lot of call for that anymore, unfortunately). Ken Russell got me started on directing.
I'm a very passionate person; I'm in a band right now, and ran for public office, because I believe that people can make a difference.
I read a lot, mostly non-fiction now, but occasionally "Doctor Who" novels.
I love "Doctor Who", both the classic series and the new series.
